As we wrap up the Spring 2021 term, there are some amazing classes coming up for the Summer term here at RTS Charlotte. I can’t mention all of them, but here are a few highlights below. These are all in-person, residential classes:
D.A. Carson, The Exposition of Hebrews – 2.00 Hours
An analysis of the message and purpose of the book of Hebrews to show its importance for today. Special attention is given to the basic doctrines of Christ’s high priesthood and the covenant and the author’s admonition to be faithful to the Word of God.

Congratulations to Dr. Kevin DeYoung

I am pleased to announced that on Jan 10th, Kevin DeYoung successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis at the University of Leicester in the UK.
In 2017, Kevin joined our faculty as Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology. He also serves as the senior pastor of Christ Covenant Church here in Charlotte.
Of course, Kevin is well known through his speaking, teaching, and writing ministry. He has been a great addition to the faculty and the students have loved his classes.
For those interested in taking a class with Kevin, this Spring term he will be teaching Systematic Theology 3: Ecclesiology and Sacraments. For more, see here.

It is well known by now that one of RTS Charlotte’s newest faculty members is Kevin DeYoung. He is the new Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology and will be teaching three classes a year for us here.
In addition, Kevin is the Senior Pastor of Christ Covenant Church here in Charlotte, chairman of the board for The Gospel Coalition, author of numerous books, a popular blogger, in-demand speaker, and more.

Kevin DeYoung Appointed as Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology at RTS Charlotte

RTS Charlotte has a big announcement as it pertains to our faculty. Here is the press release that went out today:
Reformed Theological Seminary is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin DeYoung as Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology at RTS Charlotte, beginning June 1, 2017. Last night RTS Charlotte hosted its biannual vision banquet with speaker Kevin DeYoung and musician Andrew Peterson. It was a very special event with a great turnout and a focus on raising funds for student scholarships. I am so grateful for everyone who participated.
